Russell, when asked what he would say if he died and found himself confronted by God, whose Love he had refused to believe and accept, was quoted to have said, “Not enough evidence, God, not enough evidence.”
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
There is another quote attributed to Russell, “I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong.” In reply, I would quote a line from Sophocles’ play Electra, “I admire you for your prudence. For your cowardice I hate you.”
